Theradynamics has opened its first rehabilitation facility in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood.
The physical therapy company has 14 locations in New York City, including eight in Manhattan, but this is the first in lower Manhattan.
“We get asked all the time, ‘Do you have a location down here?’ ” said Michael Greene, Theradynamics’ director of Performance Science. “We have been primarily in the northern part of the city. Based on our needs and talking with the physicians that refer to us, we decided to take the jump and come down here.”
This location’s close proximity to New York City Hall also makes its an ideal fit for Theradynamics.
“We treat a lot of New York City government employees, Greene said. “Cops. Firemen. Emergency personnel.”
Theradynamics has been providing treatment to New York City residents since 1995.
This is the first of three New York City locations that Theradynamics is expected to open this month. It will be opening locations in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood and Brookyln’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
The 7,500-square-foot space, located at 101 Leonard St., features physical and occupational therapy, IV therapy, an exclusive 300-member fitness and wellness club, and a recovery lounge.
The centers use technologies used by professional athletes that aid recovery and speed up the rehab process, Michael Greene told the New York Business Journal. They also provide all patients with an evaluation of their overall physical condition.
The new center will be open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
